Huntsville Hospital Health System in Huntsville, AL seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the clinical team with continuity and quality patient care. This role initiates patient care, gathers vital signs, and prepares patient and exam room for procedures, while collecting specimens.

You will assist coworkers, draw blood as needed, and provide patient education and support. A CNA or CMA certification and BLS within orientation are preferred assets.

Qualifikationen

• Preferred completion of CMA, CNA, or Huntsville Hospital Patient Care Tech program.
• Basic life support (BLS) required within orientation.

Overview

Provides patient education and support as needed to assist physician, patient and family. Assists coworkers and draws blood as needed.

Qualifications

Education required: High school diploma or GED.

Education preferred: Completion of certified medical assistant program, completion of the Huntsville Hospital Patient Care Tech program or CNA.

License, Certification and/or Registration: CNA or LPN Preferred. BLS must be received within the orientation period.

Experience: Phlebotomy experience preferred. Minimum of one year experience working in a clinic setting preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to use computer, fax machine and copy machine. Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment.
