Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a clinical assistant to join the patient care team. The role involves initiating patient care, taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms for procedures, collecting specimens, and providing patient education and support to the physician, patient, and family.

You will also assist coworkers, draw blood as needed, and work in a fast-paced clinic setting. A high school diploma or GED is required; CNA or LPN is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA or LPN preferred; BLS within orientation period.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred; clinic setting experience preferred.

Qualifications

Education required: High school diploma or GED.

Education preferred: Completion of certified medical assistant program, completion of the Huntsville Hospital Patient Care Tech program or CNA.

License, Certification and/or Registration: CNA or LPN Preferred. BLS must be received within the orientation period.
Experience: Phlebotomy experience preferred. Minimum of one year experience working in a clinic setting preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to use computer, fax machine and copy machine. Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment
