Job summary

Abraxas Youth and Family Services is seeking a Clinician, Treatment in Morgantown, PA to provide clinical services and support treatment development for the facility.

The role requires a Master's degree and at least one year of clinical experience, with opportunities for paid training and career growth. Daily responsibilities include therapy, documentation, and coordinating with the team to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing or related field and one year of clinical experience.
• Candidates with relevant experience are preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
• Background checks and pre-employment screenings including TB/drug tests are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to assigned clients per licensing guidelines and policies.
• Perform individual and group therapy.
• Develop treatment plans and monthly reports on client progress.
• Ensure documentation is complete in a timely manner and complies with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical director, case managers, and treatment staff to support youth in work programs and restitution obligations.

What You’ll Do

This position is responsible for providing clinical services, implementing clinical services policy and standards, and supporting clinical development for the facility.

Your responsibilities may include:

Provides clinical services to assigned clients as per the guidelines of licensing agencies and ensures compliance with policies and procedures as well as with regulatory and licensing agencies.

Performs individual and group therapy

Provides appropriate documentation which includes developing treatment plans and monthly reports on client behavior, attitude, achievement, education, and overall progress in the program.

Analyzes and interprets client records, behavior, progress, and treatment plans in relationship with treatment services.

Ensures all documentation is completed in a timely manner and meets regulatory compliance.

Ensures that goals and objectives from clients’ individualized treatment plans are being addressed; Modifies clients’ individualized treatment plan as needed.

Works closely with clinical director, case managers, treatment supervisors, senior treatment supervisors and education department to ensure that all youth involved in work programs fulfill restitution, and court costs and fines obligations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

• Master’s degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing or other related fields and one year of clinical experience
• Candidates with relevant experience are preferred.

Other Qualifications:

• At least twenty-one (21) years of age
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Physical exams that include TB and drug testing.
• Must pass both federal and state background checks which screen for crimes including, but not limited to drug related crimes, violent crimes, sexual abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and repeated misdemeanors.
• Satisfactory completion of background screening and applicable pre-employment checks, including but not limited to employment and/or personal reference and driving records.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Schedule

Must be available to work weekends!

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain active and engaged throughout an 8-hour residential shift
• Ability to work in a secure, controlled-access residential facility environment
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to safety emergencies
