Community Mental Health Affiliates, Inc. (CMHA) is seeking a Clinician I to join the IMPACT program in New Britain, CT. The role supports adults, children and adolescents with behavioral health needs and works within a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires a Master’s degree in behavioral health, licensure eligibility (MFTA, PCA, LMSW; LCSW/LMFT/LPC possible), and 1–3 years of related experience. Bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral health (psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, alcohol and drug counseling).
• Associates license (MFTA, PCA, LMSW) required; eligible for LCSW, LMFT, LPC.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).
• 1–3 years experience in mental health or related field.
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive intake assessments with diagnosis and treatment recommendations for adults, children, and/or families.
• Performs individual, family and/or group treatment using evidence‑based practices.
• Maintains trainings and certifications as required and completes timely documentation.
• Collaborates with other providers and triages crises as needed.
• Provides referrals and links to community resources.
• Ensures reimbursement through accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Adheres to state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations.
