Job summary

BHN is seeking a Clinician to provide intensive, community-based services to youth and families involved with DCF. You will deliver family therapy, crisis intervention, and behavioral health support while partnering with caregivers and community providers to promote safety and lasting outcomes.

This role offers part-time scheduling (Mon-Fri, 8am-8pm) with an hourly rate of $26.44–$34.37. You will work in home, school, and clinic settings across Western Massachusetts, coordinating care with DCF

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a license-eligible behavioral health field.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred.
  • Ability to obtain CANS‑MA Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of family therapy, crisis intervention, behavioral health diagnoses, and evidence‑based treatment approaches.
  • Familiarity with community resources and child‑ and family‑serving systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Cultural humility and ability to engage diverse families.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide family therapy, crisis intervention, safety planning, and parent skill-building services to youth and families referred by DCF.
  • Deliver services in community settings (homes, schools, clinics) to support families.
  • Complete behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans with caregivers and supports.
  • Develop and implement safety plans to promote family stability.
  • Coordinate care with DCF, Family Networks, schools, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain timely clinical documentation in compliance with requirements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, and supervision.
  • Meet program productivity and performance expectations while delivering high-quality, person-centered care.

What You Will Do
  • Provide family therapy, crisis intervention, safety planning, and parent skill-building services to youth and families referred by the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

  • Meet program productivity and performance expectations while providing high‑quality, person‑centered care.
Who You Are
  • Master's degree in a license‑eligible behavioral health field (Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field).
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families strongly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain CANS‑MA Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of family therapy, crisis intervention, behavioral health diagnoses, and evidence‑based treatment approaches.
  • Familiarity with community resources and child‑ and family‑serving systems preferred.
