The GRIT program at Mental Health Association seeks a Clinician to deliver individual and group counseling, screenings, assessments, and treatment planning for residents with substance use and co-occurring disorders in a residential setting.
You will support daily recovery activities, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, maintain compliance, and help residents develop aftercare and discharge plans. Shifts include mornings and evenings at our Springfield site with outreach to Holyoke.
The Clinician provides direct individual, group, educational, and case management services to residents with substance use and/or mental health disorders. Responsibilities include conducting screenings, assessments, and treatment planning using ASAM criteria. The Clinician facilitates a structured therapeutic milieu and supports participant engagement in daily recovery activities using an integrated treatment approach.
Open Shift: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9am-5pm, Tuesday & Thursday 10am-6pm (40hrs).
Pay Range: $52,000-$57,000 annually, depending on education level.
The GRIT program at MHA provides residential rehabilitation for individuals with substance use challenges and co-occurring mental health conditions. Residents participate in individualized counseling, recovery-focused programming, and community activities such as education, job training, or employment, all within a structured and supportive environment. With locations in Springfield (men's programs) and Holyoke (LGBTQIA+ program), GRIT combines the comforts of home with access to vital resources. A skilled, multidisciplinary team works closely with each resident to support recovery, personal growth, and long-term stability, while creating personalized aftercare plans for a successful return to the community.
