Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking an on-site Validation Specialist in Palo Alto, CA, to represent clinical users in validating medical devices and workflows. You will work with Product Management, UX and Design Engineering to define new product requirements and improve radiation oncology products.

Ideal candidates have Radiation Therapist certification with five years of clinical experience, familiarity with ARIA/Eclipse, and willingness to travel globally.

Qualifications

• Current clinical certification/registration as a Radiation Therapist plus five years of Radiation Oncology clinical experience.
• Degree (B.A., B.S., or its foreign degree equivalent) plus five years of Radiation Oncology clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist and/or Clinical Applications Specialist using Varian’s products.
• Understanding of simulation, imaging, and treatment delivery clinical workflow in a radiation therapy center.

Responsibilities

• Ensure validation is complete, with evidence before release.
• Discuss clinical practices and define new product requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Provide feedback to design, development and device improvements.
• Support Oncology Information Systems, Treatment Planning and Imaging Systems.
• Develop and execute design validation plans to meet requirements.
• Participate in requirements analysis, use case, and risk hazard analysis.
• Write test designs with traceability to requirements and mitigations.
• Collaborate with Verification Engineers, Product Marketing, UX, and Project Management.
• Travel 5-25% to support validation efforts.
