Qualifications

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services.

• Reviews complaints and grievances and reports as required.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies.
• Assists in assessments of nursing needs.
• Makes nursing/aide assignments.
• Encourages staff to attend outside training.
• Reviews nurses’ notes for completeness and alignment with resident care.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee nursing services for the unit.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and proper documentation.
• Review and respond to complaints and grievances.
• Maintain inventories of meds and supplies.
• Develop written assessments of residents’ nursing needs.
• Assign nursing and aide staff as needed.
• Promote staff participation in training programs.
• Review nursing notes for accuracy and resident-focused care.
