Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Clinic Research Assistant to support clinical trials. You will assist the research nurse/coordinator, collect and process specimens, schedule study visits, and ensure accurate data entry and filing for sponsor audits.

Responsibilities include retrieving records, collecting vital signs, performing phlebotomy as directed, and maintaining organized study files.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• 2 yrs of research experience; or Medical Assistant (prefer certified)/Laboratory Technician with at least 6 months of clinical experience.
• Preferred qualification: Certified Phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Documents on case report forms.
• Retrieve medical records (electronic and/or paper records).
• Collect clinical data such as vital signs, EKG recordings, weights, etc.
• Perform phlebotomy as directed by the study plan and transport specimens to the laboratory.
• Accurately enter data in sponsor portals.
• Maintain accurate files and organized records for sponsor audits.
• Collect specimens, process, store and ship blood/tissue specimens as required by study.
• File and pull study records as needed by physicians, research nurse and study monitors.
• Schedule study appointments for patients.
• Triage research-related phone calls to the proper source.
• Responsible for long-term follow-up.
• Performs other functions as required.
