Job summary

The University of Iowa's ICTS Coordinator Core is seeking a Clin Trials Research Asst/Data Mg to support clinical trials and data management. The role integrates with the research team to administer, deliver, and evaluate research protocols.

Candidates should have strong communication, GCP familiarity, and ability to work nights/weekends. Proficiency in Word/Outlook/Excel and experience with REDCap/Epic is preferred. On-campus work with fringe benefits and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

Experience in clinical research preferred (6 months to 1 year).
Understanding of regulatory processes and study documentation.
Familiarity with GCP guidance and ethics considerations.

Responsibilities

Screen, recruit, enroll and obtain informed consent for clinical research activities.
Assist in design, development, execution, administration and maintenance of protocols and clinical studies and provide input into descriptions of complex research procedures.
Assist patients with problems related to protocol.
Manage and organize regulatory documentation.
Prepare regulatory submissions.
Pull data reports from qualitative data management software.
Participate in preparation of grant applications for extramural funding.
Provide assistance with tracking and reconciling grant/trial budget free balances and identify opportunities to ensure that grant funding is being used as intended and awarded.
