Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a clinical or scientific discipline required.
• Minimum of three years experience in a clinical or scientific field required; oncology experience preferred.

This position is responsible for proactively identifying and evaluating potential clinical trial participants through comprehensive review of patient records, provider referrals, and external inquiries. This role serves as a key resource for clinical trial feasibility and enrollment efforts by matching patients to appropriate research opportunities and ensuring eligibility criteria are accurately assessed.

Position Summary

• Supports NCS Clinical Research Program by leading patient identification and matching to available trials.
• Responds to provider requests for specific patients to be reviewed against trial portfolio.
• Reviews biomarker testing for patients as they become available to match patients to potential trials.
• Collaborate with external partners on patient identification, study review, and pre-screening activities.
• In partnership with program Director, reviews trial portfolio to identify gaps in portfolio against trials that may be available.
• Assists with maintaining internal NCS trials database and other software systems to ensure accuracy in patient/trial matching.
• Assists with new trial feasibility questionnaires to ensure patient enrollment projections and capabilities are accurate.
• Reviews and manages outside referrals for providers and patients reaching out about pursuing a trial at NCS.
• Serves as secondary reviewer to clinical study coordinators for patients in pre-screening and screening to verify trial eligibility.
• Pre-screens provider schedules to help identify potential trial matches ahead of patient appointments.
• Review hospital tumor board patients for potential clinical trial matches.
• Educate patients on logistics of being involved in a clinical research study and share relevant materials.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a clinical or scientific related discipline required, Bachelors or RN degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years experience, clinical or scientific related discipline is required. Oncology experience preferred.
