Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston is seeking drivers for On Demand Transport and Clinical Outreach Transport to support doctors, staff and students across MUSC facilities.

The role includes pre/post trip inspections, fueling and cleaning, meticulous record keeping, and transporting passengers with care and safety. You may substitute for other drivers and assist with campus shuttle duties as needed. Strong communication and a valid SC license are required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in operation or maintenance of heavy equipment or motorized vehicles.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and/or commercial driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to operate cars, trucks, vans, and small buses safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Transport doctors, staff, patients, and students to MUSC facilities and within the assigned area.
• Perform pre/post vehicle inspections, fuel, clean, and maintain vehicle readiness.
• Log mileage, inspections, incidents, and COTS/ODT records accurately.
• Substitute for other drivers and assist with campus shuttle duties as needed.
• Communicate with dispatchers to ensure timely daily assignments.
