Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston is seeking drivers for on-demand transport and campus shuttle duties. You will operate a range of vehicles, perform inspections, and maintain logs while ensuring safe transport of doctors, staff, and patients to MUSC facilities.

Responsibilities include assisting patients, especially those requiring special equipment, and coordinating with Life Guard/UTS dispatchers. Valid SC license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience operating or maintaining heavy equipment or motorized vehicles.
• Valid driver's license and/or commercial driver's license may be required.
• Must have current, valid SC Driver's License and a ten-year driving record.

Responsibilities

• Picks up doctors and staff and transports them to MUSC facilities; return trips as needed.
• Perform vehicle inspections, fuel, and clean vehicles for each COTS request.
• Maintain accurate logs: inspections, mileage, accidents, and COTS folders.
• Accommodate staff needs and communicate effectively with dispatch.
• Transport patients, including wheelchair patients, following safety procedures.
• Substitute for other drivers and support campus shuttle operations.
