Job summary

Latch, based in San Francisco, seeks a clinical leader to define translational endpoints used in our therapeutics benchmarks and determine whether model outputs align with clinical relevance.

You will secure clinical data, negotiate access, and oversee consent, de-identification, and governance for sensitive information. This is a full-time, on-site role with significant impact on AI-assisted drug development.

Qualifications

• Defined or defended a clinical endpoint in a Phase I–III trial.
• Experience as physician or investigator on at least one clinical trial.
• Authored FDA regulatory documents (IND, protocols, etc.).
• Experience designing data-use agreements and data handling processes.
• Ability to reason from phenotype to molecular/genetic basis.

Responsibilities

• Define translational endpoints used across therapeutics and disease benchmarks.
• Turn real drug programs and trials into AI-scored tasks.
• Serve as the clinical reviewer for omics and biosecurity teams.
• Establish data partnerships with cohorts, health systems, and industry.
• Negotiate data-use agreements and ensure proper consent and de-identification.
• Build the clinical function at the company with advisors and future hires.
