Position Requirements: Candidates with an MSW with 2 years of experience are strongly preferred. Meets all applicable employment regulations set by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and other regulatory agencies. Applicants need to have a valid driver’s license. Well-organized with some experience supervising in a therapy setting with exposure to social services. Bilingual (Spanish) highly valued. Ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency’s service population.

The position offers a flexible hybrid office schedule with on-site hours and some remote work possibilities.

General Job Description: As part of a trauma-informed and culturally responsive behavioral health team, the Clinical Training Supervisor will supervise typically 6-12 interns (MSW, MA/MS Counseling) and coordinate the interns' provision of services to clients in the Behavioral Health program. Provide weekly group and individual supervision to the interns in the program. Administer, supervise, and coordinate the overall operations of the intern program. Coordinate the referral and case assignment process with behavioral health staff. Ensure that all program operations requirements, including those set by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and other regulatory agencies, are met. Serve on the agency leadership team and collaborate closely with the Director of Behavioral Health and Support Services. Will require certification as an LPHA under DCFS Rule 132 as part of the onboarding process if the candidate does not already hold it.

Specific Duties:

  • Provide direct supervision and training to interns in the Behavioral Health program.
  • Lead clinical interventions as necessary to ensure appropriate client care.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of new personnel for the program.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with graduate schools of social work and counseling
  • Sustain a key role in developing the next generation of trauma-informed behavioral health professionals in this leadership position
  • Monitor the completion of all necessary program documentation to ensure compliance with contracts, grants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain a schedule that accommodates the needs of both clients and interns.
  • Oversee compliance with Medicaid billing and delivery of services
  • Complete ongoing written performance evaluations and meet with internship liaisons for direct supervisees.
  • Provide disciplinary action to direct supervisees and coordinate discipline concerns with schools.
  • Oversee the discharge and transfer process for clients.
  • Assist the Director of Behavioral Health Support Services in ensuring the agency’s compliance with contracts and grants for services.
  • Ensure that the programs are operating at maximum efficiency and that all staff are providing the expected hours of direct service.
  • Develop and monitor program budgets, providing monthly budget reports.
  • Maintain all personnel files in compliance with applicable DCFS and COA standards
  • Ensure interns complete all required payroll documentation, provide documentation to the finance department, and submit payroll information to the finance department as required.
  • Review all Medicaid and required billing statements generated by behavioral health and provide feedback and follow up to ensure timely submission.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, as needed, for clients with immediate needs.
  • Maintain efficient use of the electronic medical record system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Hours: 40 hours per week with flexibility to meet program needs.

Pay Grade: $78,000-$83,000
