Job summary

Community Health Resources seeks a Clinical Trainer to support the Zero Suicide program in Windsor, CT. This full-time role focuses on designing and coordinating evidence-based training for clinical and non-clinical staff.

You will lead LMS-based training, assess needs, track completion, and ensure compliance while contributing to program evaluation and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in training development and delivery in behavioral health.
• Experience in a non-profit environment is desirable.
• Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, coordinate and/or develop Zero Suicide training programs addressing needs of CHR staff.
• Ensure training programs are evidenced-based and align with best practice in behavioral health.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Zero Suicide is a plan to transform the delivery of care for adults at risk of suicide by strengthening existing suicide prevention protocols with robust training, community engagement, and the implementation and monitoring of approved evidence‑based screening and treatment models. The geographic area where Zero Suicide will be implemented is 20 towns in North Central CT, reaching from the greater Hartford area to the border of MA.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Clinical Trainer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Research, design, coordinate and/or develop Zero Suicide training programs that address the needs of clinical and non-clinical staff at CHR.
• Ensure that training programs are evidenced-based and align with current best practice in behavioral health.
• Identify learning and development needs through job analysis and regular consultation with management to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand the changes in policies, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies.
• Coordinate and conduct training and retraining requests and provide improvement recommendations.
• Maintain communication to ensure employees have knowledge of training events and general training information.
• Conduct follow-up studies of completed training to evaluate and measure effectiveness of training.
• Organize and track staff completion of training.
• Ensure all training programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Ensure that all documentation per department, organization, or external (state, federal, payer) expectations is error free and accurate, including all relevant information necessary for understanding and completed within specified deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the development and delivery of training and/or behavioral health. Experience in a non-profit organization is highly desirable. Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Mental Health Licensure is preferred

COMPENSATION RANGE*:

$55,683.47/yr minimum-$83,525.31/yr maximum*

• Actual rates within this range are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
