Job Summary

The Clinical Trainer is responsible for assessing training needs and delivering clinical training across the organization using various modalities, including blended, classroom, and virtual learning. This role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs, supporting care management initiatives, and collaborating with staff at all levels.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Identify and meet clinical training needs for the staff, including developing and evaluating training activities.
  2. Conduct new clinician orientation and training on new products.
  3. Create training modules such as disease-specific training, continuing education, and competency testing.
  4. Maintain records of training activities and evaluations.
  5. Encourage participation and motivate learners during training sessions.
  6. Assist in evaluating external training resources with guidance from the Learning and Development Manager.
  7. Discuss training needs with management and participate in quality audits.
  8. Exercise judgment and initiative in delivering training that supports organizational goals.
  9. Ensure training materials are current and meet audience needs.
Specific Skills and Attributes
  • Experience developing and facilitating virtual clinical training.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Positive, solution-oriented attitude and adaptability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented, organized, with good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • RN license required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • 1-3 years of training or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and PC skills.
  • Knowledge of chronic disease management, population health, and case management is preferred.
  • Experience in a call center environment is a plus.
