Job Summary

The Clinical Trainer is part of a team responsible for addressing training needs across the enterprise using blended, classroom, and virtual learning modalities. This role involves developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating clinical training activities, including support for care management programs and other Sharecare initiatives. The Clinical Trainer collaborates with colleagues at all levels and disciplines within the organization.

Essential Job Functions

  • Meet all clinical training needs for the staff of the CCC, including development, implementation, and evaluation of training activities.
  • Deliver new clinician orientation and training on new products and other requirements.
  • Develop new training modules such as disease-specific training, Continuing Education, Care Management, and competency testing.
  • Maintain records for training programs, including evaluations, employee participation, and LMS records.
  • Encourage participation and motivate learners during classes.
  • Assist in evaluating external training programs and materials with guidance from the Manager of Learning and Development.
  • Gather, analyze, and discuss colleague training needs with the Manager of Learning and Development.
  • Participate in quality audits and review call monitoring reports to identify trends and needs.
  • Exercise judgment and initiative in carrying out training activities that support colleague skills and business goals, working with guidance.
  • Collaborate effectively across the enterprise on various tasks.
  • Ensure all training materials are current and meet audience needs.

Specific Skills/Attributes

  • Skilled in developing and facilitating virtual training for newly hired clinical staff.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and their application in training.
  • Positive attitude, solution-oriented, capable of handling ambiguity.
  • Resourcefulness in finding internal and external resources to engage stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented, results-driven, adaptable, organized, with sound judgment, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective time management, prioritization, and follow-up skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • RN license required.
  • 3+ years related experience.
  • 1-3 years in a training capacity or equivalent.
  • Experience with presentation and training.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of chronic disease, population management, case management, and health plan/employer experience is highly desirable.
  • Preferred: Experience in a Call Center environment.
