Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Clinical Trainer (BCBA) in Phoenix, AZ to lead trainee development and supervise early-case practice at one to two centers. You will support RBT competency, assist supervisors, and provide weekly supervision hours focused on early trainee growth and BCBA readiness.

Role includes ESDM-based coaching, monthly fidelity checks, collaboration with Center leadership, and a pathway to ESDM certification within two years.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field.
• LBA in Arizona (for AZ only).
• 3+ years of experience as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• ABA early intervention experience.
• Strong professional communication and written skills.

Responsibilities

• The Clinical Trainer grows new trainee (BT/RBT) across 1–2 local centers after centralized training.
• Supports initial and ongoing RBT competency evaluations for new and existing RBTs.
• Assists 3–4 case supervisors in developing clinical decision-making skills.
• Provides weekly hours of billable supervision for trainees in first 6 weeks and for supervisors preparing for the BCBA exam.
• Hosts weekly group training and discussions for new trainees at their home center.
• Builds trainees' skills in ESDM and ABA strategies, data collection, and evidence-based teaching.
• Runs monthly ESDM Fidelity Checks for RBTs.
• Coordinates with BCBAs to ensure supervision requirements are met.
• Organizes quarterly center-level continuing education events for BCBAs and RBTs.
• Collaborates with Partner Clinician and Center Operations Director on performance improvement initiatives.
• Acts as clinical leader in the center when the Partner Clinician is absent.
• Aims to achieve ESDM certification within 2 years of starting.
