Responsibilities

• Conduct 3-month follow-up training for new staff.
• Develop and update training materials based on best practices and compliance issues.
• Travel to locations to interview providers regarding performance issues.
• Present large-scale trainings when needed.
• Back up Clinic Leads as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Trainer is responsible for working with the Clinical Training Supervisor to develop and maintain the training materials for the Administrative and Medical Assistant positions, and for onboarding and training all Clinical Assistants. They are charged with meeting with providers to ensure accurate training material and staff compliance, providing guidance, and retraining as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clinical Trainer will report directly to Clinical Training Supervisor.
• Provides leadership and guidance to all new Administrative and Medical Assistants, ensuring they are accessible to them.
• Creates a positive work environment by motivating others and encouraging positive thinking and teamwork.
• Provide initial onboarding and training to all new Administrative and Medical Assistants.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to Clinical Training Supervisor and Clinic Managers on new trainees.
• Submit all preceptor forms to Clinic Managers and Supervisors.
• Perform 3-month follow-up training with all new Administrative/Medical Assistants.
• Works with Supervisor to develop and maintain Administrative/Medical Assistant training materials, updating as needed based on up-to-date best practice and compliance issues, new protocols, and provider feedback.
• Turn in preceptor forms for all new clinics leads to Clinical Assistant Supervisor.
• Will show the ability to make independent decisions about changes or updates needed for all training materials.
• Provide feedback and corrective action to Medical Assistants.
• Show the ability to work through difficult or crisis situations in clinics, developing an appropriate and prompt action plan.
• Audit new Administrative/Medical Assistants both during clinic and with chart prep to ensure proper workflows and productivity.
• Travel to all locations to interview providers regarding Administrative/Medical Assistants performance issues, developing a rapport.
• Should be able to present large-scale groups for training when needed.
• Assists or backs up Clinic Leads as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma
• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate
• BLS Certification, or must complete within 30 days of employment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• 3 years in a related field
