The Clinical Therapist II treats patients by utilizing a variety of modalities as a member of the multidisciplinary clinical treatment team. Also provides psychological/social interventions that support patients and families relating to behavioral health, levels of care, hospitalization, disease and illness and wellness and recovery.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• 1. Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Master's degree in Counseling, or a related field.
• 2. Minimum of two years of post-licensure work experience in the same field.
• 3. Ability to perform psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• 4. Knowledge of crisis intervention theory, its application in a variety of settings, as well as knowledge of disease management and disease process and differential diagnoses, and treatment techniques.
• 5. Ability to work as part of a team, while building collaborative relationships.
• 6. Must possess excellent follow through and attention to detail.
• 7. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 8. Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• 1. Ability to provide guidance/mentorship to other team members.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• 1. Professional Counselor License or NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counselor.

EPS Department Specific Certification:

Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI) certification, or completion required during new hire orientation.
