About This Position

Join CRJ’s Family Reentry (FRE) service line and work as part of our clinical team! Family Reentry’s New Haven Behavioral Health Services provide treatment for individuals struggling with mental health as well as substance use issues. Working at FRE you will provide outpatient therapy to both individuals and groups. As a master’s level clinician, you will provide initial screenings, intake and assessments, crisis intervention, mental health and/or substance abuse therapy, client education, and treatment planning. FRE’s licensed outpatient clinics are here to meet the needs of our clients while facilitating their growth.

This position is full-time, 40-hours a week, 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, on-site at our New Haven location. This role is eligible for full benefits, and has a salary range of $72,000 - $86,000.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluations, assessments, and therapy to clients with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
  • Deliver strengths-based, trauma-informed treatment in alignment with client needs and clinical goals.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation, including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and insurance authorizations.
  • Prepare court reports and other mandated documentation for the CT Judicial Branch.
  • Communicate effectively with local agencies, clients, and internal teams.
  • Participate in mandatory training and licensure renewal requirements.
  • Provide crisis intervention and assist with monitoring toxicology screenings as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field and relevant clinical experience. Behavioral Health Licensure in Connecticut required: LPC/LMSW/LCSW/LPCA .
  • Experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment both group and individual therapy preferred.
  • Experienced in providing Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, Dialectical Behavioral Treatment, Seeking Safety Treatment, and working with criminal justice population preferred.

Family Reentry (FRE) joined Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) in 2020. FRE’s programs include Domestic Violence Treatment and Education, Community Reentry, Mentoring Programs, Behavioral Health, and Intensive Outpatient Programs. Family Reentry’s programs operate in strategic locations that encompass eight municipal regions and judicial geographic areas, two parole districts and five prisons. Approximately, sixty percent of those we serve are from greater Bridgeport – Connecticut’s largest city. Office locations include Bridgeport, Norwalk, New London, and New Haven. CJI provides technical assistance, research, and other services to improve outcomes in policing, the corrections system, pre-trial, re-entry, community supervision, and juvenile justice.
