Job summary

Florence Crittenton Family Services is seeking a compassionate Clinical Therapist to provide trauma-informed mental health services to youth and families in Residential and Outpatient Programs. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to strengthening children and families, delivering individual, family, and group therapy, and coordinating care.

The role requires Montana licensure (LCSW or LCPC) or eligibility, at least two years of trauma-focused therapy experience,

Qualifications

  • Must hold Montana LCSW or LCPC license, or eligibility as candidate.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with youth, families and trauma histories.
  • Experience delivering trauma-informed therapy within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and crisis intervention skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to youth and families.
  • Complete comprehensive mental health assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain timely clinical documentation and billing records.
  • Apply CBT, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-focused approaches.
  • Respond to crises and participate in on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams and community partners.
  • Provide clinical consultation and staff training.
  • Ensure licensing, accreditation, and ethical compliance.
  • Advocate for clients and coordinate referrals to additional services.

Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Therapist to provide trauma-informed mental health services to youth and families in our Residential and Outpatient Programs. This position plays a vital role in helping clients achieve meaningful therapeutic outcomes while working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to strengthening children and families.

What You Will Do
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to residential and outpatient clients.
  • Complete comprehensive mental health assessments, suicide risk assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor client progress and maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and billing records.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Experience Integration, and other appropriate interventions.
  • Respond to crisis situations and participate in the clinical on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams, direct care staff, and community partners to coordinate comprehensive client care.
  • Provide clinical consultation, staff training, and therapeutic guidance to support a positive treatment environment.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing standards, accreditation requirements, ethical guidelines, and agency policies.
  • Advocate for clients and support referrals to additional behavioral health services when needed.

What You Will Bring
  • Current Montana LCSW or LCPC license, or eligibility as an LCSW or LCPC candidate.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with youth, families, and individuals with trauma histories (experience with adolescent parents, infants, and toddlers preferred).
  • Experience providing trauma-informed therapy and working within multidisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and high-quality client care.
  • Valid driver’s license, satisfactory background check, and ability to meet agency health requirements.
