Inova Alexandria Hospital – Medical Surgical is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 to join our team. This full-time role supports patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and participates in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The position offers day shifts, weekend rotation, and opportunities for professional development within Inova Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health system. Training is provided to ensure clinical readiness and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.

This schedule for this role will be Full Time | Days | 6:00AM – 6:30PM | Days Vary | Every other Weekends & Rotating Holidays |

Clinical Technician – Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.

Training

• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• Virtual training modules.
• On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
