Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Clinical Technician to support the H62/H63 Neurology Stepdown Units with patient care, vital signs, and post-care assistance. You will work under an RN, help keep rooms clean, and report changes promptly, while upholding compassionate, high-quality care.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and at least one year of recent patient care experience.

Qualificações

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association within the new-hire period.
• At least one year of recent, full-time patient care experience.
• Additional education/training may substitute for some or all of the stated experience.
• Nursing students with a clinical rotation may substitute for required experience.
• Military healthcare experience (HM, Combat Medic, 4N0X1) considered.

Responsabilidades

• Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision, including taking vital signs and weight, assisting with personal care, point-of-care testing, dressing changes, external monitoring devices, and Foley catheter care.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.

The H62/H63 Neurology Stepdown Units sees a diverse pool of medical diagnoses, such as ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, status epilepticus/seizures, brain tumors, neuromuscular disorders, and spinal injuries. As a Clinical Technician on our team, you will assist with basic patient care, maintain room cleanliness and demonstrate empathy and compassion in all activities and interactions. Your work plays a direct role in our mission to continuously provide patients with the best healthcare experience possible.A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with weekend and holiday requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as taking vital signs and weight, assisting patients with personal care, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley Catheters.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
  

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within new hire period (Nursing Student req to have prior to hire)
• One year of recent, full-time patient care experience
• Additional education/training may substitute for some/all the stated experience
• Nursing students who have recently completed a minimum of one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program may substitute the clinical rotation for the required experience
• Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking.
• Medium Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force rarely, and/or 0 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $19.25
Maximum hourly: $25.95
