Job description

Position Title: Clinical Technician, Emergency Room

Job Description:

The Clinical Technician III works under the direct supervision of the RN and is an active member of the healthcare team. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Clinical Technician performs a variety of routine duties involving patient care, including activities of daily living, observing changes in patient status, maintaining a clean and safe environment, transporting patients, and other related duties. Clinical Technicians must demonstrate empathy, good communication skills, and nursing skills to effectively care for patients.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

• 1 year experience as a Clinical Technician II as defined in the core skills for Clinical Technician III, or
• 1 year experience as a Clinical Technician II who has successfully completed the VHC Health Clinical Technician III education, or
• Completed a training program meeting core skills & competencies, or
• Successful completion of the VHC Health Nurse Externship Program.

Certification/Licensure: BLS Certification required.
