Purpose & Scope

The Clinical Technician II works under the direct supervision of the RN and is an active member of the healthcare team. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Clinical Technician performs routine duties involving patient care, including activities of daily living, observing patient status changes, maintaining a clean and safe environment, transporting patients, and other related duties. Empathy, good communication, and nursing skills are essential for patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience as a Clinical Technician I or equivalent clinical experience, or enrollment/completion of a Clinical Technician II program, or successful clinical experience as a student nurse.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of six education hours related to current role.
