Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital – Physical Rehab is seeking a Clinical Technician 2 to join the team. The role involves caring for patients under RN supervision, communicating with the care team, and upholding professionalism within a leading health system in Northern Virginia.

The position requires a high school diploma, 1 year of clinical tech experience or rotations, BLS certification (or within 90 days), and ability to lift 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience as a Clinical Technician or completed acute care clinical rotations and active nursing program participation.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to lift minimum 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintain professionalism and integrity across the healthcare system.
• Complete six weeks of paid training including virtual orientations, virtual modules, classroom sessions, and on-unit shifts.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

This schedule for this role will be Full -Time | Rotations: Days & Nights | 6AM-6:30PM & 6PM-6:30AM | Days Vary | Rotating weekends & holidays |

Clinical Technician 2 – Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• Training: Must be available six (6) for non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:
• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Virtual training modules.
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• On-unit shifts
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year working as a Clinical Technician; or completed an acute care clinical rotations, and actively enrolled in a nursing program
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American HeartAssociation, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
