Inova Loudoun Hospital seeks a dedicated Clinical Technician for the Emergency Department. The position is full-time night shift, seven days a week schedule with rotating weekends, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

The role emphasizes direct patient care under RN supervision and active professional development. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, BLS certification within three months, and either acute care experience or nursing student status.

Qualifications

• No licensure is required.
• Minimum acute care experience or nursing student status.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated and experienced Clinical Technician to join the Emergency Department Team. This role will be full time night shift; Monday - Friday, rotating weekends, 7pm - 7.30am.

The Clinical Technician 2 provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Maintains competencies and seek opportunities to develop professionally. Communicates effectively and work cooperatively with others Serves as a unit preceptor and superuser for all new Clinical Technicians.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
• Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
• Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.

Shift: Day Shift (7pm - 7:30am)

Schedule:

Three 12 hour shifts per week (with every other weekend rotation)

Training:

Ideal candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training course

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification - Basic Life Support within 3 Months; Heart Saver for employees hired prior to April 22, 2019
• Licensure - None Required
• Experience - 1 year of acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school
• Education - High School diploma or equivalent
