Job summary

Southcoast Health is hiring a Clinical Technician at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. The role involves direct patient care including phlebotomy, EKG, and minor invasive procedures, with weekend and holiday rotation. Earn a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Hours are 36 per week, day/evening shifts from 9:00 am to 9:30 pm.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, CPR, and relevant certifications (CNA/MA/EMT/Paramedic). Vaccination requirements apply or applicable exemption.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed with specialized courses and training.
• One year of related work experience is required.
• CPR certification required.
• Certified Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic certification required.
• If not certified, must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing or 1+ years of ED Technician experience.
• Pediatrics experience preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or eligible for exemption with signed statement.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including phlebotomy, EKG, minor invasive and diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Conduct patient interviews and provide clerical support including quick registration, data/order entry, transcription, and medical records collation.

Hours: 36hrs

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of Emergency Department Manager or Designee, perform variety of duties in providing direct patient care including phlebotomy, EKG, minor invasive procedures and diagnostic procedures in accordance with physicians… orders. Conduct patient interviews and provide clerical support including but not limited to patient quick registration, data/order entry, minor transcription of orders, collation of medical records and other clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus specialized courses and training.
• One year of related work experience is required.
• CPR certification required.
• Certified Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, and Paramedic certification required.
• In lieu of certification, must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing or 1+ years of Emergency Department Technician experience.
• Experience with pediatrics preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $22.16 - USD $28.85 /Hr.
