JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Systems Analyst plays a key role in ensuring our clinical applications function smoothly and effectively support patient care delivery. This position works closely with healthcare providers and IT teams to troubleshoot issues, implement system changes, and optimize workflows, ensuring our technology tools align with the evolving needs of our healthcare organization. This support is crucial to the delivery of the company's mission of helping children achieve a lifetime of great oral health.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Nursing Informatics, or a related field.
JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT support, clinical systems, or related role within a healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of clinical applications (EHR/EMR, PACS, medical device software) is a plus.
  • Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR).
JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
  • Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical terminology.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with medical staff, technical teams, and vendors.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Application Support and Troubleshooting: Provide front-line support for clinical applications used by healthcare providers. Investigate and resolve incidents, escalte complex issues, and perform configuration updates.
  • Clinical Workflow Understanding: Collaborate with healthcare staff to understand how they use clinical applications within patient care workflows. Identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Requirements Analysis and Solution Design: Translate user requests and clinical needs into technical requirements and specifications. Work with senior team members and vendors to design solutions, including customizations and minor system changes.
  • Testing and Implementation: Participate in the testing of new systems, upgrades, and configurations. Collaborate with stakeholders on user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure a smooth rollout of changes.
  • Training and Documentation: Assist in developing training materials and documentation for clinical applications. Conduct user training sessions to ensure effective adoption and utilization of the technology.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improving workflows and processes related to clinical systems. Recommend and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and promote a positive user experience.
