Seaside Wellness of Palm Beach, a proud member of the Quadrant Health Group, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Support Specialist to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.

What You’ll Do:

The Clinical Support Specialist provides direct clinical and operational support to clients and the interdisciplinary treatment team within a behavioral health and/or substance use treatment setting. This position assists with therapeutic interventions, clinical assessments, crisis management, case management needs, life-skills development, and documentation while supporting a safe and therapeutic treatment environment. The Clinical Support Specialist works collaboratively with licensed clinical, medical, case management, and residential staff and performs duties within the scope of their education, training, credentials, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Support & Interventions
  • Provide supportive counseling and facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups utilizing evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), as appropriate to role and scope.
  • Support implementation of individualized treatment plans under the direction of the clinical team.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address client and milieu needs.
  • Assist with family communication and calls as clinically appropriate and authorized.
  • Support case management functions, discharge planning needs, and development of independent living and life skills.
  • Administer and document approved screening and assessment tools, including PHQ-9, GAD-7, and Brief Addiction Monitor (BAM), within scope and facility protocol.
  • Communicate relevant observations, client concerns, and changes in presentation to the appropriate clinical and medical team members.
Crisis Management & Client Safety
  • Assist with crisis intervention, de-escalation, conflict resolution, behavioral concerns, and clients at risk of leaving against medical advice (AMA).
  • Support interventions designed to maintain client engagement in treatment and promote a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Promptly elevate urgent clinical, behavioral, or safety concerns to licensed clinicians, medical personnel, and residential staff as appropriate.
  • Follow facility protocols for emergencies, incidents, client safety concerns, and changes in clinical presentation.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete accurate, timely, and objective documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) in accordance with facility policies and applicable requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable federal, state, accreditation, and facility standards.
  • Support compliance with applicable DCF, AHCA, and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate professional and ethical boundaries with clients, families, and team members.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and other clinical activities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, human services, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant education and experience may be considered based on facility and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working in behavioral health, mental health, substance use disorder treatment, or a related healthcare environment preferred.
  • Experience with crisis intervention, therapeutic groups, behavioral health documentation, and/or case management support preferred.
  • Knowledge of CBT, DBT, MI, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health treatment principles preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and sound judgment when working with vulnerable populations.
  • Strong communication, organization, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) or Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) preferred.
Reporting Structure

Reports to the designated Clinical Director or other facility leadership as assigned and works collaboratively with licensed clinicians, medical staff, case management, and residential/behavioral health teams.
