Job summary

Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches, part of Banyan Treatment Centers, seeks a Clinical Support staff to join the treatment team in Lake Worth, FL on-site. The role is full-time with a Wed-Sun or Tue-Sat schedule and compensation of $25-$26 hourly.

The position supports therapists and case managers and participates in multidisciplinary reviews. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related human services field.
• Experience with clinical documentation and multidisciplinary teams is a plus.
• Knowledge of confidentiality laws and licensing standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews with preparation and patient issue understanding.
• Complete baseline clinical assessments (biopsychosocial).
• Conduct groups and support therapy staff as needed.
• Assist therapist and case manager; maintain timely clinical documentation.
• Cover client caseload in the absence of primary therapists.
• Assist with discharge planning and family communications.

Position Details

• Schedule: Full-time, Wed-Sun or Tues-Sat
• Location: Lake Worth, FL (On-site).
• Compensation: $25- $26 hourly

Key Responsibilities

• Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, demonstrating adequate preparation and understanding of patient issues, progress, areas of resistance, positive and negative strategies, etc.
• Completes baseline clinical assessments, biopsychosocial.
• Conducts groups.
• Assist Therapist and Case Manager as needed.
• Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
• Responsible for covering client caseload in absence of primary Therapists.
• Assists Therapist in familial communication and documentation.
• Assists client in managing outside stressors.
• Maintains clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies.
• Assists Therapist and Case Manger with discharge planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.

Preferences

• Master's Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
• Active California APCC, ACSW, or AMFT.
• CADC or SUDDC.
• Work experience in the field of behavioral/mental health treatment.

Abilities And Skills

• Adherence to Healthcare Code of Ethics and familiarity with Joint Commission Standards.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations regarding client confidentiality.
• Proficiency in group facilitation.
• Skilled in crisis intervention, including de-escalation and suicide risk assessment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
