Entity and Department

Entity: Penn Primary Care and Specialty Practices (PPC/PSP)
Department: Orthopaedics

Location and Hours

Location: Travel between West Grove and Valley Forge Offices
Hours: Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Patient Care Accountabilities: Promptly rooms patients, uses EMR to alert provider that patient is ready, assists patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and remains in exam room when necessary. Acts as a witness for procedural consents if required. Responds to emergency/code situations.
• Clerical / Other Accountabilities: Obtain and scan documents, complete medical forms, prepare and send patient correspondence, assist with patient education materials, perform call-backs, and provide follow-up care instructions.
• Environmental / Safety Accountabilities: Adhere to infection control policies, dispose of infectious waste properly, maintain neat and stocked patient care areas, clean and disinfect instruments, and ensure equipment is in working order. Maintain medication storage and security as applicable.
• Other / Regulatory: Ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., TJC, HIPAA), adopt new processes, and engage in practice changes.

Credentials and Education

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant or CNA program (Preferred)
• 1+ years related experience (Preferred)
