Job summary

Children's of Alabama seeks a Clerical with patient care support for MedSurg 10 Harbert at Main Campus Harbert Tower. You will assist RNs and LPNs, provide clerical support and help with communication for patients, families and staff.

Requirements include at least one year of clerical experience or six months of patient care in last two years, or relevant certifications such as CNA/CMA/PCT/EMT, and Basic Life Support. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• One year of clerical experience required.
• Six months of patient care experience in the last two years.
• CNA, CMA, PCT or EMT certification or enrollment in a medical program.

Responsibilities

• Works under supervision of RNs and LPNs to provide assistive care, clerical support, and communication.
• Support patients, families, staff and visitors on a busy MedSurg unit.
