Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Clinical Support Assistant for the Float Pool to support adult patients across units. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will perform routine patient-care tasks and monitor patient conditions.

This full-time position offers night and day shifts. A HS Diploma or GED is required, and BLS certification must be obtained upon hire; prior experience is not required. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to coordinate care with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health status and implement the care plan under RN supervision.
• Carrying out physician and nursing orders within scope.
• Record blood pressures, temperatures, pulse, and weights.
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and set up telemetry when needed.
• Transport patients and assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Keep patient rooms clean and restocked with supplies and equipment.
