Job summary

Mercy in Missouri seeks a Clinical Supervisor to assure delivery of safe, high‑quality care by competent staff. You’ll coordinate staffing, patient flow and bed management with the Staffing Office to meet productivity and financial goals.

You will lead collaborations with physicians and admin staff to improve processes across the care continuum, while modeling Mercy values and Professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
  • Current RN license with the Board of Nursing in the applicable State of practice.
  • 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
  • Must have Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probation period. TNCC, ACLS/ALS and ENPC or PALS.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

  • Assures delivery of safe, high quality, cost‑effective care by competent co‑workers.
  • Ensures units are appropriately staffed to provide patient care and guides patient flow.

The Clinical Supervisor assures delivery of safe, high quality and cost-effective care provided by competent co-workers. Clinical Supervisor ensures units are appropriately staffed to provide patient care. Clinical Supervisor is proactively involved in patient flow and bed management issues in collaboration with the Staffing Office. Clinical Supervisor is involved in the evaluation process in collaboration with the Clinical Manager as directed. Position Details

Education: Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.

Licensure: Current RN license with the Board of Nursing in the applicable State of practice.

Experience: 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.

Certification/Registration: Must have Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probation period. TNCC, ACLS/ALS and ENPC or PALS.

Skills, knowledge and abilities: Demonstrates skills in human relations and communication, written verbal, and electronic. Demonstrates clinical competence in patient care delivery. Possesses the ability to assess data and assist personnel in providing appropriate level of care. Performs responsibilities while fulfilling the Philosophy of skills, knowledge and abilities.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

4C- serves the medical cardiac population by managing chronic and acute onset diseases while balancing the need for telemetry and cardiac management. The types of patients we serve are those with multisystem management needs such as heart failure, respiratory distress, unmanageable dysrhythmias, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes and gastro-intestinal conditions. We also coordinate management of patients needing cath lab, angio, dialysis, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation therapies.
