Job summary

First Choice Health Centers in East Hartford, CT is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for the Parents as Teachers program. This full-time leadership role provides clinical supervision, ensures program excellence and compliance, and advances family-centered care within our health care center.

You will lead supervision, staff development, and data reporting to meet grant requirements and improve child development outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Human Services or related field required; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in program coordination.
  • At least 1 year of management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical, individual, group, and site-based supervision to Home Visitation staff in accordance with program standards and best practices.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions to support staff development, ensure service quality, and promote achievement of program goals.
  • Oversee staff caseloads, case assignments, and scheduling to ensure families receive timely, high-quality services.
  • Monitor program service delivery and documentation to ensure compliance with funding source requirements, agency policies, and Parents as Teachers standards.
  • Complete assessments, provide resource referrals, and support staff in addressing the diverse needs of participating families.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor program staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations and serve as a liaison between families, service providers, and agency partners.

Clinical Supervisor Parents as Teachers program

Full Time 265 Ellington Rd. EH East Hartford, CT, US

Salary Range: $26.00 To $29.50 Hourly

Join our First Choice Health Centers team as a Clinical Supervisor and play a vital role in leading a grant-funded home visiting program that empowers families and supports positive child development. In this leadership position, you will provide clinical supervision, ensure program excellence and compliance, and help drive integrated, family-centered care within our Health Care Center.

  • Primarily Monday through Friday schedule working 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
  • The hourly range for this position is $26.00 - $29.50/hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, certifications, etc.

Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Strong clinical supervision, coaching, and staff development skills.
  • Strong understanding of case management, family engagement, and community resource coordination.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting program data, outcomes, and performance measures.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering teamwork and a positive work environment
  • Knowledge of child abuse and neglect reporting statutes (mandated reporting)
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Having reliable transportation to conduct site visits
Experience and Training:
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following; Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Human Services or a related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of previous experience in program coordination.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of management experience.

  • Assist in planning and implementing outreach and community engagement activities to increase program awareness and participation.
  • Collect, analyze, and report program data, outcomes, and performance measures to support grant requirements and program evaluation efforts.
  • Facilitate monthly parent and family group meetings focused on child development, parent-child relationships, and family well-being.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and confidential maintenance of client records, program documentation, statistics, and required reports.
  • Participate in agency initiatives, interdisciplinary meetings, and community committees to strengthen service integration and enhance program effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation of strategies that improve workflow, service delivery, and client outcomes.
  • Build trusting relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries that promote self-sufficiency, self-esteem, and family empowerment.
