Job summary

ARS Treatment Centers is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to supervise counselors, interns and counselor assistants across our outpatient treatment programs. The role supports clinical meetings, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adherence to organizational mission and policies.

The ideal candidate holds LCADC and a master’s certification, with at least three years’ clinical supervision experience in substance abuse settings, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree emphasis in social work, addiction studies, psychology, counseling or human services; State Certification required.
• LCADC required; CCS highly preferred.
• Minimum of three years of Clinical Supervision experience, preferably in a substance abuse environment; one year of which must be related to substance abuse treatment.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Successful completion of State required background check and required training.

Responsibilities

• Provides new hire orientation for Counselors.
• Prepares annual training plans for each Counselor.
• Conducts quarterly in-house training for clinical staff.
• Supervises Counselors to assure timely completion of work and adherence to program policies and procedures.
• Provides weekly, biweekly or monthly clinical supervision through documentation of assessment of professional competencies, clinical skills and recommendations.
• Reviews all documentation developed by Counselor II for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.
• Assigns emergency on call rotation and assures successful completion.
• Completes monthly schedules for groups, admissions, weekend rotation and holidays.
• Completes annual employee reviews for Counselors and Counselor II.
• Completes quarterly reports for supervision, training, compliance, discharges and admissions.
• Assigns new patients to Counselor caseloads and monitors ratio for state compliance.
