Qualifications

• Degree in counseling, social work, or chemical dependency is required.
• State licensure or certification as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent (e.g., LPCC, LISW, LICDC) is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with diverse professionals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to establish rapport with clients.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with evidence-based practices.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, while seeking supervision as needed.
• Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients with behavioral health concerns using evidence-based practices and a solution-focused approach.
• Supervise individual and group counseling to clients with a strengths-based, person-centered approach.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers.
• Lead team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision sessions to ensure high quality care.
• Promote ongoing professional development and stay current with research and best practices in mental health counseling.
• Advocate for culturally competent, inclusive care and work to reduce barriers to access for diverse client populations.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation per professional standards and agency policies.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate resources to ensure client safety during mental health emergencies.
