POSITION SUMMARY
The Supervisor of the nursing unit is responsible for the day-to-day operations, direct supervision of the RN staff, and assists the Director and/or Manager with the operational management of the nursing unit. The Supervisor coordinates care of the patients during hospitalization to obtain the best utilization of resources so that patient outcomes are optimized. The Supervisor serves as a professional clinical role model for patient care and assists other professionals in their development. The Supervisor demonstrates investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and organization and applies good verbal and non-verbal skills to achieve service goals of customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Education
Minimum (Required): Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Preferred (Not required): Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
Work Experience
Minimum (Required): Minimum two to three years clinical experience required.
Preferred (Not required): Prior management/leadership experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
Minimum (Required): A current RN license in the State of California is required.
Complete and maintain PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred.
Must successfully complete and maintain ACLS certification.
Must successfully complete and maintain BLS certification.
Obtain/Possess current Management of Assaultive Behavior Certification; can obtain within 6 months of hire.

Pay Transparency: The annual salary range for this position is $54.55 - $81.82.
