Position Overview

A registered nurse who utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Responsible for providing safe, therapeutic care to acutely ill patients with medical/surgical or maternal child health diagnoses. Works as part of interdisciplinary teams, performs established nursing procedures, and manages patients with complex needs. Demonstrates commitment to the unit and organization, and employs effective communication skills to ensure patient satisfaction and a positive work environment.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Accountable to the unit Manager and/or the Director.
  2. Adheres to nursing standards of practice.
  3. Maintains competence in critical behaviors annually.
  4. Supports teamwork and maintains positive relationships with colleagues.
  5. Competent in IV therapy and medication administration.
  6. Plans, directs, implements, and evaluates patient care, delegating appropriately.
  7. Participates in Performance Improvement activities.
  8. Upholds organizational values in all interactions.
  9. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: Basic computer skills; RN experience in the department preferred; one-year acute care experience preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid RN license in California; ACLS and BLS certifications as required.
Additional Details

Hourly rate: $48.41 - $76.69. The final offer considers experience, education, skills, and organizational factors.
