The Supervisor of the nursing unit is responsible for the day-to-day operations, direct supervision of the RN staff, and assists the Director and/or Manager with the operational management of the nursing unit. The Supervisor coordinates patient care during hospitalization to optimize resource utilization and patient outcomes. The Supervisor serves as a clinical role model for patient care and supports staff development. They demonstrate commitment to the unit and organization, applying strong communication skills to achieve service goals and foster a positive work environment.
Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required; Baccalaureate degree preferred.
Work Experience: 2-3 years of clinical experience required; management experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: Current RN license in California required; BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred; Management of Assaultive Behavior certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
