As a unit-based leader, you supervise staff and collaborate with physicians and support teams, with potential 24-hour responsibility when managers are unavailable. The role supports professional growth through ongoing education and certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• The Clinical Supervisor oversees nursing operations of a unit.
• In the absence of the Manager or Director, may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.
• Works with a unit-specific patient population.

Northside Hospital Forsyth's Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) is a 16-bed adult specialty unit that serves as an extension of critical care, providing advanced monitoring and specialized nursing care for patients who require a higher level of support than a traditional acute care setting.
