Job summary

Northside Hospital Forsyth's Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) seeks a Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a fast-paced adult unit. You will plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care aligned with physician orders and guidelines.

The role requires Georgia RN licensure, BLS certification, and a nursing degree; BSN preferred with 2 years of ICU-type experience. Additional life-support credentials are valued to support unit needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and guidelines.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
• Adheres to Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and scope of practice.
