Job summary

The Salvation Army Bell Shelter is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to oversee clinical services, supervise licensed staff, and ensure regulatory compliance within behavioral health, SUD, and co-occurring programs. The role reports to the Clinical Director and supports staff pursuing licensure and certification.

Responsibilities include supervising clinicians, reviewing assessments and treatment plans, and providing crisis consultation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• Active California license required: LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, or other qualifying behavioral health license.
• Submit proof of a 15-hour supervision course or 6 CPD hours in supervision for renewal, per regulatory requirements.
• Minimum two years of post-licensure clinical experience; 4–5 years in behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision for SUD counselors and staff in accordance with standards and funder requirements.
• Review treatments, treatment plans, documentation, and client engagement for quality and compliance.
• Facilitate case conferences, caseload reviews, and staff development in evidence-based practices.
• Offer crisis consultation, risk assessment, and escalation support as needed.
• Support program operations, compliance, and inter-team communications to ensure high-quality care.
