The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree and have previous supervisory experience, along with knowledge of child development and trauma-informed practices.

Job description

Family Centered Services of CT, a division of Bridges Healthcare, Inc., has an immediate opening for a Clinical Supervisor for their Baby & Me CT program.

Salary: $70,000 - $74,000 commensurate of experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Supervisor provides reflective, administrative, and clinical supervision to Baby&MeCT home visiting staff serving prenatal families and families with young children throughout Greater New Haven. This role supports staff development, program implementation, family engagement, documentation quality, and adherence to program, model, and funder requirements.

The Clinical Supervisor works collaboratively with the Program Manager to support day-to-day operations, promote high-quality service delivery, and maintain a positive, accountable, and relationship-centered team culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide regularly scheduled reflective, administrative, and clinical supervision to home visiting staff, including individual supervision, group supervision, field accompaniment, observation, and support around service delivery challenges
  • Support staff in navigating complex family situations, including mental health concerns, trauma, substance use history, housing instability, DCF involvement, crisis response, safety concerns, referrals, and coordination with community providers and systems
  • Conduct intake meetings and assist in assessing family needs, program appropriateness, and referral recommendations
  • Promote trauma-informed, strengths-based, culturally responsive, and relationship-centered practices across all aspects of service delivery
  • Support staff professional development, performance management, and ongoing skill building through coaching, training, observation, and feedback
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support accountability related to staff expectations, documentation, professionalism, and program requirements
  • Support implementation and fidelity of the Parents as Teachers model in collaboration with the Program Manager and program requirements
  • Monitor and support compliance with agency, model, and funder requirements, including documentation standards, data collection timelines, screening requirements, and use of multiple electronic record and data management systems
  • Maintain oversight of timely, accurate, organized, and complete program documentation and individual family records
  • Partner closely with the Program Manager regarding program implementation, staff support, operational needs, problem‑solving, and quality improvement efforts
  • Assist with development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of program procedures, workflows, tools, and resources to support effective service delivery
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community providers, referral sources, and statewide partners, and represent the agency at relevant meetings, committees, and community events
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervisory meetings, intake review meetings, trainings, and other required agency or program meetings
  • Attend ongoing educational and professional development trainings related to home visiting, supervision, infant and early childhood mental health, trauma-informed care, and family support services
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to agency policies, ethical standards, and professional boundaries
  • Perform other department or agency related duties as assigned by the Program Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in social work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, Public Health, or related field required
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience required
  • Minimum of three years of post‑graduate experience working with children and families preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of attachment theory, trauma-informed care, family systems, and issues related to child abuse and neglect identification, prevention, and intervention
  • Knowledge of age‑appropriate child development, parent‑child interaction, and family strengthening practices
  • Experience working with families experiencing complex needs, including mental health concerns, trauma, substance use history, housing instability, and involvement with community systems
  • Strong oral, written, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to balance support, accountability, and relationship‑centered leadership
  • Experience with documentation requirements, electronic record systems, data collection, and compliance oversight preferred
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to coordinate referrals and supports
  • Computer literacy required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Must be comfortable conducting home visits and accompanying staff in the field as needed
  • Must have access to reliable transportation on a consistent basis, a valid CT driver's license in good standing, and automobile insurance
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and respectfully with diverse families, staff, and community partners
