Job description

Join Our Mission to Transform Lives

About the Program

We intervene upstream by teaming up with families to stay together. Families in crisis are often facing real-world stressors, such as poverty. But the right combination of supports when they need it most can help build bridges to brighter days.

Through our Support & Stabilization program, we provide intensive in-home supports to families involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) who are working to maintain or regain custody of their children. We provide services to alleviate the crises that brought them there, so that more families can stay intact and fewer children are placed into foster care.

Who We Are Looking For

We're seeking a dynamic Clinical Supervisor who will mentor and elevate our clinical team's therapeutic expertise while fostering vital community partnerships. If you're passionate about nurturing clinical talent and creating systems that heal, we want to connect with you.

The Impact You'll Create

As Clinical Supervisor, you'll be a key member of our leadership team, partnering with the Program Director to shape and oversee all aspects of our therapeutic programming. You'll provide expert clinical supervision and consultation that elevates the practice of our staff and interns, while occasionally offering direct therapeutic support to youth and families when specialized intervention is needed. Beyond internal leadership, you'll collaborate directly with our Program Director to design innovative programming and build strategic relationships with public and private partners that expand our impact.

Your Impact Will Include (Job Responsibilities)

  1. Provide weekly clinical supervision, support, and consultation to a team of clinicians, support and stabilization specialists, comprehensive foster care workers, and interns.
  2. Work in partnership with Program Director, Clinical Director, and Agency leaders to support staff learning and professional development.
  3. Complete mid-year and annual performance evaluations for supervisees.
  4. Ensure that clinical services are being delivered and documented in accordance with the agency's clinical philosophy and all licensing and regulatory bodies.
  5. Monitor and review supervisees' documentation to ensure clinical and compliance standards.
  6. Provide direct clinical services to youth and families as needed.
  7. Develop, review, and approve evaluations, treatment plans, and safety plans.
  8. Support and facilitate staff meetings.
  9. Support and participate in foster parent recruitment opportunities as needed.
  10. Collaborate and maintain collegial relationships with DCF, community organizations, and service providers as appropriate.
  11. Attend trainings as required; maintain necessary certifications and licenses.
  12. Provide on-call support on a rotating basis; this may occasionally include the need for in-person response.

The Expertise We Can't Do Without (Qualifications)

  1. License eligible master's degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related human services field.
  2. Independently licensed, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT preferred or mid-tier license (LCSW, LSMHC) and on track to obtain independent license within licensing standards.
  3. Maintain state-issued licensure in accordance with Board standards.
  4. Minimum of three years' experience in providing direct services to children, youth, and families.
  5. Minimum of two years' supervisory experience.

Additional Skills That Set You Apart (Competencies)

  1. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Ability to make sound decisions, direct others, and support them clinically.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  4. Empathy and desire to work with youth and families involved in child welfare, supporting them towards their goals.
  5. Desire to learn and grow professionally.
  6. Strong communication skills with capacity to effectively give and receive feedback.
  7. Demonstrated capacity for flexibility/adaptability, resourcefulness, and professionalism.
  8. Proven ability to manage complex clinical situations.
  9. Commitment to HopeWell's organizational vision, mission, and values.

Other Essential Requirements

  1. This role involves home and community-based work, which could include environmental exposures, including pets.
  2. Clearing of a background check as required by state and federal law.
  3. Daily access to an automobile and a valid Driver's license is required.
  4. Some evening and weekend work as well as occasional in-person emergency response outside of business hours may be required.
