Job summary

Western Youth Services in California seeks a Clinical Supervisor to mentor Associate Clinicians toward licensure and ensure compliance with Medi-Cal and BBS standards.

You will supervise 6–10 clinicians, track hours, and oversee documentation while guiding staff in evidence-based practices and program quality improvement. A Master’s degree and California licensure are required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field and current California Licensure (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years post-licensure experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical supervision or directly related experience supervising clinical staff.
  • Strong understanding of Board of Behavioral Services (BBS) ethical standards and Medi-Cal regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation and related regulations, with the ability to train for and monitor compliance.
  • Ability to proficiently interpret clinical reports preparing written materials and present information effectively in varied situations.
  • Skilled in mentoring, leadership and staff development.
  • Understanding and demonstration of agency Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, and database skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, TF‑CBT, DBT, ACT, PCIT, FFT) and ability to support staff in implementing these interventions.
  • Ability to define and solve problems, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and one or more key threshold languages (Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Korean, Spanish, or Vietnamese).

Responsibilities

  • Document and tracks all required supervision hours and requirements in accordance with government board and licensing requirements.

  • Monitor supervisee’s caseloads to ensure ethical, effective, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Offer clinical consultation, mentorship, and guidance to both licensed and unlicensed staff.
  • Train and support clinical staff in best practices, service models, and compliance requirements at the state and federal levels.
  • Supports program management in achieving goals related to quality improvement, service delivery, and staff development.

Salary:

Salary pay rate from $98,602.00. The actual salary may vary based on experience, equity, market, and Agency considerations.
