Classification: Regular Full Time and Part-Time options available

Location: Oakland, CA / Hybrid

Regular Work Schedule: Monday-Friday

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $90,000-$98,000 per year (Full-Time)

WestCoast Children’s Clinic is hiring experienced Clinical Supervisors to support our EMPOWR, C-Change, Outpatient, and/or STAT programs. You will oversee, train, and evaluate pre-licensed trainees and early-career practitioners who provide community-based mental health services to at-risk youth.

Your primary responsibility is to ensure high-quality care by mentoring staff and building their clinical competencies within a multidisciplinary team framework. You will also manage compliance, ensuring all supervisees meet licensing, supervision, billing, and documentation requirements. Finally, you will partner directly with Program Directors to shape clinic policies, procedures, and training needs.

Programs:

EMPOWR (Embracing Opportunities, We Rise)

This program serves transition-aged youth (ages 16–24) facing serious mental health challenges, substance use, community violence, exploitation, or system involvement. Two multidisciplinary teams share a caseload to provide coordinated, culturally relevant care that helps participants achieve mental health stability, housing security, education, employment, and community connections.

C-Change: Transforming the Lives of Sexually Exploited Youth

Designed for Bay Area youth who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation, this program utilizes a multidisciplinary team to build long-term, trusting relationships through therapy and care coordination. Staff help participants access safe housing, healthcare, and education while supporting them to build autonomy, self-advocacy, and personal safety.

Outpatient Program

The Outpatient Program serves youth (ages 2–21) and families dealing with complex trauma, including abuse, neglect, community violence, or system involvement. Using a team-based approach with shared caseloads, providers deliver collaborative, client-driven individual and family therapy, case management, and care coordination.

STAT & Project AWOL

STAT is a short-term (up to 90 days) program providing immediate stabilization, trauma screenings, and transition support for children and young adults (ages 0–21) entering foster care due to sudden family separation. Under this program, Project AWOL provides 3 to 12 months of intensive therapy, tracking support, and safety planning for Alameda County foster youth who are missing from care or facing severe placement instability.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision for clinicians, including MSWs, MFTs, interns, and other mental health professionals, with in-person supervision as program needs require.
  • Offer consultation and support for crises and complex clinical situations, including occasional after-hours Pacific Time availability.
  • Review, approve, and co-sign clinical documentation to ensure compliance with WCC standards and legal/ethical requirements.
  • Provide regular feedback on staff performance, timeliness, caseload management, and supervision effectiveness.
  • Deliver direct client services as needed to address gaps in care.
  • Complete 90-day and annual performance evaluations for supervisees.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors on crossover client care coordination and maintain timely communication.
  • Facilitate weekly group case conferences and participate in required meetings, trainings, team‑building activities, and community events.
  • Ensure compliance with WestCoast policies and applicable regulations from licensing boards, accrediting bodies, and funding agencies.
  • Identify training needs and support staff development in service delivery, documentation, charting, record‑keeping, and caseload management.
  • Assist supervisees in setting and achieving professional development goals.
  • Foster a collaborative, healthy team environment aligned with the team‑based care model.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
